new post alert! ive decided that rather than posting just about myself (hehe) i'd start a whole new thing about random new designers.. sooooo here ive chosen naoki takizawa!

naoki takizawa (pictured @ the top) is an asian designer who had his first show of Spring 2008 ready-to-wear!

his pieces are quite unique, yet they remind me of a cross between ysl-chloe-chanel in a way. with the floral pieces like chloe, the black and white like chanel and the blazer things like ysl!

what do you think of his work? would you like to see more / buy any thing of his?

wow ive been feeling really lazy lately.. no real reason why? hm.. i should really be more active!

anyway, i was feeling like shit watching t.v. so i got up and got changed and went for a walk.. sure its the same old same, people stared but i just shook it off and kept looking around shops!

blue accessories!

whenever you think about winter, what colour do you picture? i picture blue. cold, yukky and time to layer up!

here ive taken a simple grey dress, id rather have grey than black.. and added simple blue accessories.

blue sachi heels, blue trinity clutch, abode blue ring, vintage bangles.. (ohh and a black beret)

it's pretty simple to add any colour to an outfit, just make sure the dress is plain and will go with the colours you've selected for your accessories.

but remember; keep the colours quite minimum.. meaning no blue, red, pink, green, purple etc all together. but if you have to, make the colours in the same pallette i.e. red, orange, yellow or blue, purple, navy!

we all know that women (most anyway) obsess over shoes.. but ive always had a thing for bags! now im kind of getting into shoes, which is weird coz i never really wear heels except for formal events or when im away..

ive been contemplating whether or not i like this jacket thingo, it's white and has ruffles on the end of the arms (where the hands are) and i finally decided to make an outfit using it..

with a lbd and crocodile chunky heels, i finally looked in the mirror, and i thought this outfit was OKAY. i hope to wear it out.. it reminds me a bit of mk and nicole...

any suggestions on how to wear it?

ashley olsen is obviously (along with mk) my style icon. she resembles chic yet sophisticated beauty. i love the way she dresses, whether it be casual or formal.

here ive had a go for 2 of her outfits, one casual and one formal..

i didn't know what shoes she was wearing in the second picture, so i wore my vintage crocodile heels..

chanel resort 2009

it's not even half way through 2008, and the fashion world is focusing on 2009! chanel's resort 2009 show was full of pastels, greys, browns and detail.

detailed cream chanel dresses with beaded detailing were my favourite.

and you can't go wrong with a heart-shaped chanel bag!

lots of accessories were there too, with necklaces, bracelets, exotic bags and shoes!

what are your thoughts, do you like the show?

just wanted to let y'all know that my besties birthday was ruined because my mum didn't want me staying out until 12am!

anyways..

i decided to wear something totally different to what i was planning to wear, coz i picked up this cute checkard dress from 'hipster' for $60.

like loving fashion, i just finished looking through all my photos from last year, and boy did i have no style, i really want to know what makes us do what we like, how we go along the road until we find what we want to do.. how that happens?

alice burdeu, winner of australia's next top model 2007 has gotten off to a flying start, featuring in Vogue Australia, and has graced runways from Louis Vuitton to Lanvin to Alexander Mcqueen, and most in between..
when on the show, alice was faced with complaints she had an eating disorder, she was too tall and she was too emotional to be a hard working model.. Sure did she prove those girls wrong, Alice has been doing exceptionally well considering the runner-up to her, jordin loukas has retired from modelling after only 5 months of it.. jordan weighs in at 56kgs and has been told shes 'too fat' to be a model.

jordan is sick and tired of seeing stick figures strutting their bones down the runway, she says theres time for meat to be on the runway, 'They say i'm too fat.. well i'd rather eat food than eat nothing at all!!

alice burdeu has had no contact with jordan loukas after the show.. just too many differences i think!
